Healthy Relationships 101: In-Class Sessions

The "Healthy Relationships 101" curriculum consists of interactive discussion, in-class assignments, journal writing, and role-playing exercises to teach students a dynamic set of communication and social skills. Our classes support character development and show how to cultivate thriving and fulfilling relationships in all areas of a student’s life. The program is available in 12-week sessions. Below is a list of topics that are addressed in the course:

  • Effective Communication Tools
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Empathy
  • Healthy Boundaries
  • Media Influence on Relationships
  • Avoiding Cycles of Abuse
  • Texting and Relationships
  • Self-esteem and Body Image

The basis of our work helps students articulate their needs and feelings without blame and judgment and to listen empathically.

Relationship Foundation instructors meet periodically with the teacher to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum. These assessments evaluate the impact on the students and explore ways to expand the program’s objectives.
